Megan's sugar cookie photos make me crave a cookie myself! I love all the beautiful colors.

I love the bokeh in the background in Jaymi's photos. The cookies look tasty as well!

Christmas Link Up - Christmas Foods and Tasty Treats

Wow! It's hard to believe it's only two weeks till Christmas and that 2010 is almost over. Well, today begins week three of my Very Merry Christmas Link Up. This week you get to link up anything that you eat this time of year.

Time for week three:

Week 3 - Christmas Foods & Tasty Treats
There are so many tasty things made this time of year: cookies, gingerbread houses, candy canes, and my personal favorite, eggnog. Mmmm, my mouth is watering! If you bake something yourself, you could share the recipe as well!
Anything that is edible will work for this weeks theme. And remember, composition is an important key to getting a great food shot.

Last night I made some sugar cookies using The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies recipe I found through Casey at Elegant Musings. They turned out delicious and I had fun decorating them as well.

Christmas Lights Favorites

There are 34 entries this weeks Very Merry Christmas theme, Christmas lights. There were many bokeh shots, which are pretty awesome. Then there were some where there was another subject, that wasn't the lights, although they were in the background. I loved those as well.

Out of all the beautiful photos that have linked up, I've got five favorites I'd like to share. I really had trouble picking just six, because I loved all of them.

Ellie's photo is so beautiful, with the lovely morning light and the frost on the light.

I love the simple look of this picture and the greens that are in it.

Alison at Prairie Girl
Alison had two pictures, but this one is my favorite. I love the how you can see her sister (I'm guessing she's your sister?), like she id decorating the tree.

Dacia at Creative Mommas
I loved Dacia's tree, with the beautiful golds and reds, along with the white twinkling lights

Amy at ...a good life, photos

Amy linked up with a handful of adorable pictures of her friends daughter, Kaylee. This is my favorite:

Get your photos ready! Tomorrow I'll be posting the linky for week 3, Christmas Foods and Tasty Treats!

Decor Favorites

18 people have joined my first week of my Christmas link up so far. I have to say, there are some pretty fun and creative photos there! Remember, you can link up as many photos, whenever you want for the rest of the month. I hope we can get even more people to join this week!

Here are a few of my favorites from week 1, Decor:

I love Heather's creative photo. Like she said, the tree is the foundation for all the decorations.

Well I have to say, Megan has a beautiful photo here. I love the way she tilted the camera and her depth of field is perfect.

Isn't Jaymi's snowman adorable? I love him, along with the warm, cozy tone the photo has. The texture is quite lovely as well.

Danelle at I Take Pictures
I love Danelle's first photo: the composition, the beautiful red color, and the texture on the ornament.

A Very Merry Christmas Link Up

I've thought It would be fun to host a photography challenge, or link up of some sort. And since the Christmas season is just around the corner, I've decided to do a link up. So, without further to do, I'm hosting...

I want everyone to be inspired, creative, and to have fun with photography. Anyone can participate, and I'm hoping you all will! I want you to look at things differently than you usally do. Think about the shot before even pushing the shutter. Try different angles, and look at your subject from a different perspective. Or try a new technique. Edit a bit differently than you usually do. So basicly, just think outside the box and have lots of fun at the same time.

Heres how it'll work:
Every Sunday for the next month, I will be posting a linky. You'll write up your post with picture(s) that fit in the category for that week, include the "A Very Merry Christmas Link Up" button that I've included at the bottom of this post, and come back here to link up your post. Then blog hop around a bit and check out every one else's photos. You can enter just one or two of the weeks, or all of them, whichever you prefer.

All the linky's will be open trough the end of December. Feel free to link up as many photos/posts as you'd like for each category.
