I Heart Faces - Tickled Pink

For this weeks I Heart Faces theme, Tickled Pink, it was pretty simple to figure out who I would be entering a photo of. Pink is my sister Tiana's favorite color and she happens wear a bit of it. The photo I choose is from back in February. It's one of my favorites; I love how she's looking away from the camera and the editing, which sadly I can't remember how I did it. 

Project 52: Week 40

Lately I've been busy working on my first quilt. I have already cut and sewed together all of the rows for the top and now I need to to the basting (pinning the back, batting, and top pieces together), so I can start the quilting part.

I like how the measuring tape that I was using was spiraling out.

Chocolate Truffles

Last week was one of my good friends birthdays and for a gift, I made her chocolate truffles. Chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk are the only ingredients needed, so they're really simple to make. They can be rolled in whatever you like. Next time I make them, I want to try adding some mint extract and see how they turn out.

Project 52: Week 39

Fall is here. It's getting colder outside and the leaves are beginning to change from green to bright shades yellow, red, and orange. 

An Afternoon Walk

Sunday afternoon we decided to go for a walk on a trail near my dad's work.

I thought this wood bridge looked neat.

We passed by a pond with a few dozen ducks that quickly swam towards any people they saw.
