Vintage Portrait

When I posted my vintage self-portrait on Friday, I couldn't decided which picture to share. I posted the black and white one, but I also love this shot as well. I usually don't like it when only part of the the subjects face is in focus, but love how this one turned out.

I was trying some new red lipstick to see how it looked, and decided to get dressed up a bit, and take some self-portraits. Since I was going for a 1940's look, I did an old black and white edit.

Vintage Aircraft Weekend Swing Dance

The night before Vintage Aircraft Weekend started, there was a dinner. It wasn't just any dinner, since many of the guests were dressed like we were in the 1940's! Some came in uniform, others in everyday 40's styled clothing. And there was lots of Swing Dancing. They had a wonderful band, who played some well known Big Band Tunes. They also played some Bobby Darin, one of my favorites.

Vintage Aircraft Weekend

A couple of weeks ago, our family volunteered at Vintage Aircraft Weekend. My job was to go around taking pictures of everything that was going on. They had reenactors who wore original World War II uniforms, old military equipment, and vintage aircraft. I love the 1940's, and I enjoyed all the old items from back then.

They had WWII jeeps, bycicles, and a tent with war uniforms and stuff like that inside.
