I finally broke down and got photoshop elements. I have to admit it is slightly more confusing than I thought. So I have a question for you. When you edit your photos do you use the effects or do you just change the exposure/contrast?
Missy: Ooh! That's awesome! Elements can defiantly be confusing at first. I usually use an action (usually from CoffeeShop: http://coffeeteaphotography.blogspot.com/) to brighten the colors (or you could adjust the contrast). I usually adjust the lighting, by going to Enhance at the top of the program, Adjust Lighting, then Levels. Adjusting the lighting will make a big difference.
Check out the CoffeeShop link. Rita has lots of free actions for Elements, and some great tutorials as well.
