I loved all the entries I got for this weeks Very Merry Christmas theme, Christmas Foods and Tasty Treats. Looking at all those lovely photos made my mouth water! So, now it's time for me to feature some of my favorite entries from this week:
I love baking and decorations sugar cookies every December. There as fun to make as they are to eat! Chocolate crinkles (we call them chocolate snowballs) and snickerdoodles are some other favorites.
I'm loving the bokeh in the background in this shot.
Christmas lights
I was messing around with the wireless flash and trying some dramatic lighting.
Wow! It's hard to believe it's only two weeks till Christmas and that 2010 is almost over. Well, today begins week three of my Very Merry Christmas Link Up. This week you get to link up anything that you eat this time of year.
Time for week three:
Week 3 - Christmas Foods & Tasty Treats There are so many tasty things made this time of year: cookies, gingerbread houses, candy canes, and my personal favorite, eggnog. Mmmm, my mouth is watering! If you bake something yourself, you could share the recipe as well! Anything that is edible will work for this weeks theme. And remember, composition is an important key to getting a great food shot.
Last night I made some sugar cookies using The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies recipe I found through Casey at Elegant Musings. They turned out delicious and I had fun decorating them as well.

There are 34 entries this weeks Very Merry Christmas theme, Christmas lights. There were many bokeh shots, which are pretty awesome. Then there were some where there was another subject, that wasn't the lights, although they were in the background. I loved those as well.
Out of all the beautiful photos that have linked up, I've got five favorites I'd like to share. I really had trouble picking just six, because I loved all of them.
Alison had two pictures, but this one is my favorite. I love the how you can see her sister (I'm guessing she's your sister?), like she id decorating the tree.
Dacia at Creative Mommas I loved Dacia's tree, with the beautiful golds and reds, along with the white twinkling lights
Hannah over at Aspire is hosting a photography challenge, the theme being Christmas. Since everyone seemed to love my snow globe photo, I decided on that one. I'm quite pleased with it as well.
If you've been following my blog for a while, this photo will likely look familiar to you. Remember those self-portraits I shared back in August? Well, this is the same photo as the first on on that post, before I cropped it. It's a favorite of mine. ♥
Today begins week two of my Very Merry Christmas Link Up! Last weeks theme, decor, has had 18 people link up, so far. Thank you to everyone who has! Remember, all linkys will be open all month, so keep joining with your photos! (If your new, or would like more info about the link up, you can visit, this post.)
Now we're on to week two:
Week 2 - Christmas Lights
Anything from on a Christmas tree, on a house, or anywhere else you can find some decorative lights. They don't have to be in focus, either. Some cool bokeh shots would count as well. I'm planing on trying some custom bokeh shots myself.
Joining is easy. Just put together a post with a photo(s) that fit with this weeks theme, Christmas Lights, add my Christmas Link Up button, and come back here and add your post to the linky. Remember to post a link to the post, not your main blog address. Also, go ahead and check out all the other posts that are linked up. That's what makes this fun!
18 people have joined my first week of my Christmas link up so far. I have to say, there are some pretty fun and creative photos there! Remember, you can link up as many photos, whenever you want for the rest of the month. I hope we can get even more people to join this week!
Here are a few of my favorites from week 1, Decor:
There is nothing like a cup of steaming hot chocolate. Sipping the chocolaty goodness from a mug, on a cold, winter day (or night). It's always more enjoyable this time of year, with the temperatures are much cooler. And it's even better when there is snow on the ground, although all our snow melted by Thanksgiving.
Marshmallows can make the chocolate drinking expereince even more fun! ;-)
