Claire's Headshots
Claire does a bit of actings and needed some headshots. Her mom brought her over for a few minutes yesterday and I snapped a few photos. Claire is such a sweet girl and I was more than happy to help them out.

Vintage Portrait
When I posted my vintage self-portrait on Friday, I couldn't decided which picture to share. I posted the black and white one, but I also love this shot as well. I usually don't like it when only part of the the subjects face is in focus, but love how this one turned out.

One Year
One year ago, I started this blog, my place to share the photography talent God has gifted me with. Throughout the past year, I've learned and grown so much in my photography. I'm thankful to all of you who stop by and leave such kind comments on my posts. You all make blogging fun. :D
Here are some fun facts about the blog's first year and some of my favorite things about photography:
-This blog's first name was "A Photographic Journey". That latter changed to Sereina's Photography, and is now Sereina Charise Photography.
-Over 1,500 comments have been left throughout this blog.
-50mm f/1.8 is my favorite lens ever.
-I learned how to use Photoshop Elements.
-I created a Facebook Fan Page for my photography.
-I love baking yummy foods, then photographing them.
-There have been 176 posts this past year.
-I hosted a link-up, called A Very Merry Christmas.
-I opened up an Etsy shop, where I sell prints of my photos.
-There have been over 15,000 page views this past year.

Project 52: Week 3
{3/52}
I was trying some new red lipstick to see how it looked, and decided to get dressed up a bit, and take some self-portraits. Since I was going for a 1940's look, I did an old black and white edit.

A Robin
Friday I was looking out our living room window, when a bunch of robins flew into the yard. I quickly went to my room to grab the camera, but when I came back, all the birdies had left. I was disappointed that I couldn't get any pictures of them, but a few minutes later, I looked out the dining room window, and found this guy sitting on a tree branch. He wasn't there for long, since it was quite windy, but I was glad to get a picture of him.
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. "

Project 52: Week 2
{2/52}
Today I was practicing using the flash off the camera. I had my sister, Alina, model for me. She's was goofing off pretty much the whole time, making funny faces and actions. Taking photos of Alina can be quite difficult at times... You just have to snap a shot before she decides to do something goofy.

I Heart Faces - Smiles
I have many favorite photos with smiling faces, but this one happens to be one of my very favorites. This super cute picture of Steven was taken on our camping trip with several other families this past summer.

Project 52: a photo a week
With the new year beginning, quite a lot of people are challenging themselves to do a 365 days or 52 weeks project. Their goal is to grow more in their photography while taking a picture every day for the year or every week. Doing a 365 project is too much for me, but I've decided to take a photo at least once a week. I haven't been taking as many pictures lately as I usually do, so I though this would be a great motivation to go out and find something to photograph. Sometimes I just need a little push. :-)

A Sweet Treat
For our New Years Eve movie marathon Friday, I baked some cupcakes to share. There chocolate cupcakes with peppermint JoJo's insides (JoJo's are Trader Joe's brand Oreos). I used my favorite chocolate cake recipe from Hershey's Kitchen, "Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake. Boy, is it good! On top, I made eggnog frosting. Mmmmm! I also crushed up a couple candy canes and sprinkled them on top.

It's there were I'll be selling prints of my photos that you've seen here on the blog. Right now I only have two items, but will be posting more throughout time.

I could use your help picking some of the best shots (that are not of people) to put in the shop. So, which photo (or photos), out of all the photos on my blog, would you pick if you were going to purchase a print from my shop? I'd love to know which photo is your favorite!
I'd appriciate it if you would post a link to the post the photo was in, making sure to specify which photo. So go ahead, and have fun digging through the archives, and let me know which photo is your favorite!

I Heart Faces - Absolute Best Face Photo of 2010
I have to say, this weeks theme was a tough one. I took thousands and thousands of photos last year, and went digging through my semi-organized My Pictures folder on my hard drive. I have so many favorite photos with faces in them, making it a hard task. I love the photo of Daniel, when I had him sit for me when I was doing some self-portraits so I could get the focus right. There were some awesome photos from our beach vacation as well. And then there are the photos from our group camping trip. I love so many pictures from that trip. But I kept coming back to a certain photo.
This is my favorite face photo of 2010. You may recognize it, since I've posted it twice before, once in color and once in B&W. I love the simplicity of the shot.
Happy 2011 to you all!
